Seattle, Washington

Day  1: Seattle, Washington

Travel to the top of the iconic Space Needle and view the Puget Sound and Olympic Mountains. You visit won’t be complete without a sampling of the freshest seafood you’ve ever tried and of course a cup of Seattle’s famous coffee.

Day  2: At Sea

Don't just appreciate art, experience it. Witness the incredible, gorgeous art of glassblowing with intimate live demonstrations. Watch and learn from professional glassblowers in this popular, one-of-a-kind exhibition from the renowned Corning Museum of Glass.

Ketchikan, Alaska

Day  3: Ketchikan, Alaska

In addition to being the jumping-off point for seaplane excursions into the Misty Fjords National Monument and its 2.2 million acres of wilderness nirvana, Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit tribe. Another "must-see" here is the world's largest collection of totem poles. You can learn what motivates someone to turn a piece of lumber into a towering work of art at the Saxman Native Village and Totem Bight and Totem Heritage Center.

Known as the "Salmon Capital of the World," Ketchikan is also the ancestral home of the Tlingit people, who have carved the world's largest collection of totem poles. The name comes from the Tlingit phrase "katch kanna," which roughly translated means "spread wings of a thundering eagle," a tribute to the hundreds of eagles that nest in the mountain forests above this small outpost.

Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

Day  4: Tracy Arm Fjord, Alaska

Amidst the pure silence, you'll sail past translucent blue icebergs silhouetted against a most dramatic backdrop of waterfall-laced rock walls ascending thousands of feet into the sky. This classic fjord, Tracy Arm extends over 30 miles and once seen, it is never to be forgotten.

Book-ended by two of Alaska's most dramatic glaciers, the North and South Sawyer, and surrounded by granite walls that rise 3,000 feet from the emerald colored seas, this area has everything you've come to Alaska to experience.

Skagway, Alaska

Day  5: Skagway, Alaska

It's doubtful you'll succumb to gold fever, but if any place on earth can summon up the thrill of prospecting, it's Skagway. By embracing its gold-rush past, Skagway has managed to preserve a frontier spirit complete with saloons and dance-hall revues. If the spirit does overtake you, passage on the White Pass & Yukon Railway or a ride on the Klondike Highway will take you to places where you can roll up your sleeves and do some prospecting of your own.

When gold was discovered in the Klondike in 1896, this town was gripped by a serious epidemic of Gold Fever, one that attracted all manner of fortune hunters, saloon owners and adventurers. Now the only prospecting is done by visitors looking to take home a souvenir nugget or two.
