Day  2 Como, Italy Cruisetour A hearty breakfast at the hotel will prepare you for a private excursion by boat of Lake Como. Travel past many of the famous villas along the banks of the lake including Villa d'Este. Your private cruise will end at the quaint Italian village of Bellagio where you will have time for an afternoon of exploring on your own and when you are ready you may take the public ferry back to Como at anytime. End the evening with an authentic Italian dinner and another magical night's stay in Como. Breakfast and dinner included.
Day  3 Como, Italy / Venice, Italy Cruisetour Begin with breakfast at the hotel. Then board your deluxe motorcoach to the "City of Bridges", Venice where you will have the remainder of the day free for independent sightseeing and dining. Consult with your Tour Director who will be able to provide local insight and suggestions to make the most of your time. Overnight Venice. Breakfast included.

Koper, Slovenia

Day  6: Koper, Slovenia

Located in southwest Slovenia on the Adriatic Sea, Koper in a picturesque port town with a compact, medieval center. Against a backdrop of the Alps, the area is enriched with several 15th Century Venetian Gothic palaces, castles and spires. Nearby, the breathtaking Postojna Caves can be toured on foot and by electric train. The recreational area north across Koper Bay is ideal for hiking, horseback riding and cycling.

The "Mosaic City" of Ravenna is renowned for its 1500-year-old churches, decorated with exquisite Byzantine mosaics of brilliant color and amazing detail. It can also be a gateway to other spots with claims to historical fame. Bologna, with its magnificently preserved, uniform architectural style, and not one, but two leaning towers, is the site of the first institution of higher learning in the Western world, for which the term "university" was coined. And the tiny Republic of San Marino, dating from 301 AD, it is perhaps the oldest surviving state and constitutional republic in the world.

Day  8: Split, Croatia

Lined with palm trees, this Adriatic seaside town is also a cultural mecca. Within the walls of the Diocletian Palace, you'll discover historical buildings, numerous museums, the National Theatre and a collection of old churches. Culture, beauty, natural wonder - Split has it all.

Kotor, Montenegro

Day  9: Kotor, Montenegro

Kotor offers some of the most well preserved architecture in all the Adriatic coast, with landmarks such as the Cathedral of Saint Tryphon. Built in 1166, there are frescoes dating back hundreds of years, and much of the gold and silver relief work done by the city's master craftsmen of that time are held for safe keeping within its walls.

Day  10: Dubrovnik, Croatia

Established 1,300 years ago on the far southern tip of the Dalmatian Coast, this city once rivaled Venice in terms of its importance. Take a walking tour to the Dominican Monastery and marvel at the finest collection of Renaissance paintings, including a painting by Titian.

Located on the east coast of Sicily, Catania is situated at the foot of the largest volcano in Europe, Mount Etna. Elegant, modern, and an important hub in Europe's tech industry, Catania is also rich with baroque architecture, medieval castles, Roman era theatres, and a flourishing cultural and artistic center. The first university in Sicily was opened here in 1434. The Ursino castle built in the 13th Century is now a museum. The Piazza del Duomo, at the heart of Catania, is home to the city's symbolic Fountain of the Elephant, constructed in 1736 from lava and an ancient Egyptian obelisk.

Located on the southern coast of Italy, Naples has spectacular scenery that attracts artists from around the world. One of Naples' greatest contributions to western civilization-pizza- invented to honor the Queen of Italy in 1889.
