Day  1: Sydney, Australia

Uncovering authentic local finds and having experiences that make you feel like you’ve really connected with a place are important elements in ensuring an extraordinary vacation. We’re taking advantage of our partnership with Travel + Leisure to get their editors’ recommendations and insider tips on the places you will want to visit. Here are their picks for just one of the 150 destinations they covered.

Must-Sees from the Editors of
Travel + Leisure

Bondi Beach
Laid-back beach culture predominates here—along the half-mile stretch of sand, in the adjacent 10-acre park, and spilling into the neighborhood beyond. When conditions are right—which is most of the time—surfers in black wetsuits provide optimal people-watching. Want to be more than a bystander? Grab your “cossie” (swimming costume) and sign up for a lesson with Let’s Go Surfing.

The BridgeClimb
At practically any hour of the day, you’ll spot what looks like a procession of ants crawling along the Sydney Harbour Bridge’s upper arch (known as “the Coathanger”). Welcome to the infamous BridgeClimb, a 3½-hour guided trek 440 feet above the harbor waters. While the climb isn’t for everyone—participants should be able to traverse catwalks and ladders—it’s perfectly safe: you’re fastened to the bridge’s struts with a safety cable.

Sydney Opera House
Under the swooping, cantilevered roofs of Australia’s most famous landmark, the Opera House contains six different performance spaces—including the 2,679-seat concert hall, which hosts everything from performances of La Bohème to ballet and aboriginal dance. Take the hourlong behind-the-scenes tour, which traces the history of Danish architect Jørn Utzon’s masterpiece.

Be sure to visit our Shore Excursions page or speak with our onboard Destination Concierge for arrangements to any of these must-sees.

Day  4: At Sea

Impeccable service, classic design, world-class cuisine and comfortable sophistication are celebrated to the utmost in Murano. Experience tableside lobster presentation, an expansive selection of artisanal cheeses from around the world, and an extensive American and French wine list. Charming and timeless, Murano transports you to a modern and sophisticated level of dining.

Day  5: Champagne Bay, Vanuatu

Aptly named, Champagne Bay, Vanuatu is truly one of the finest tropical getaways. Vanuatu is widely recognized as one of the premier vacation destinations for scuba divers to explore the amazing coral reefs of the South Pacific region. Nestled within the island of Espiritu Santo, this paradise boasts one of the most beautiful beaches in the South Pacific. Famous for its pink sand, coconut trees and sun kissed waters, this heaven on earth has remained largely untouched. Leave the bustle of the touristy beaches behind, bury your toes in the soft sand, and watch time stand still.

Day  6: Luganville, Vanuatu

Luganville is the second-largest town on Vanuatu, one of over 300 islands located in Melanesia. Its population is extremely diverse, with over 100 different languages, a multitude of dialects, and a South Pacific island heritage that spans over 3,000 years of immigration. On Luganville's main street, (which is unusually wide, thanks to a WWII general's insistence that it should accommodate four trucks abreast) you’ll find reasonably-priced restaurants along with interesting general stores, shops, and boutiques.

Day  7: At Sea

Elegantly modern design in a more intimately sized ship. Rich with signature details such as the Canyon Ranch SpaClub®, Michael's Club, and the Martini Bar.

Day  8: Mystery Island, Vanuatu

Located on the southern most point of the Vanuatu archipelago, this little jewel of the South Pacific is completely uninhabited. Formerly used as an allied forces landing strip during WWII, today only palm trees and sweet seclusion grow from the white sand of Mystery Island. The locals live across the waters on Tanna and visit the island during the day to spread their warmth, culture and wares. It's the perfect spot for couples, beach lovers, or anyone looking to lounge in an ocean of beauty and literally get away from it all.

Isle of Pines, New Caledonia

Day  9: Isle Of Pines, New Caledonia

Nicknamed the "closest island to paradise" and we think you'll agree. Untouched white sand beaches, amazing underwater wonders, and superbly friendly people reside on this tiny island on the southern tip of New Caledonia.

Noumea, New Caledonia

Day  10: Noumea, New Caledonia

There's much to see and do in New Caledonia's cosmopolitan capital, Noumea, where the French Riviera meets the South Pacific. The Place des Cocotiers is an attractive garden square in the center of town shaded by magnificent flame trees. The Territorial Museum houses some superb examples of Melanesian architecture while the Parc Forestier nature reserve offers both botanical and zoological treats. The beaches at Anse Vata, Baie des Citrons and Pointe Magnin are also focal points for a lot of water-related activities. One of the best views of the city, and the Pacific Ocean, can be seen from St Joseph's gothic cathedral, which was built in 1887. Diners have the choice of eating out at upscale French restaurants or humble establishments in Chinatown, while shoppers can hunt down the latest Paris fashions or bargain for imported Asian textiles.
